Lander Business Receives National Recognition

Whimpy Wolf Builders, LLC, a Lander based construction company, is featured on the front cover of the Winter ’09 issue Green Business Quarterly, a national magazine which profiles the country’s leading practitioners of sustainability.
                                                     

Whimpy Wolf Builders constructs highly insulated site specific homes which require minimum resources to maintain a comfortable, healthy environment. The use of natural materials and finishes make their homes ideal for individuals with allergies or chemical sensitivities. 

Sustainable practices incorporated into homes by Whimpy Wolf Builders include the use of active and passive solar energy, wind energy, grey water systems, implementing site specific design and construction site waste reduction.

Whimpy Wolf Builders is one of the few builders in Greater Yellowstone area offering timber frame homes.  The timbers are harvested locally from standing dead trees and crafted into structural elements at the Whimpy Wolf shop.  Other materials for the custom homes they build are sourced locally whenever possible or salvaged when appropriate.
