GREATER YELLOWSTONE FRAMEWORK FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
INCENTIVES TASK FORCE – MEMBER JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Description: Volunteers are needed on the GY-Framework Task Force who will help identify and advance a suite of regional permitting, marketing and financial incentives that will support pilot sponsors through their three-year demonstration period.

Meeting Requirements:  The Incentives Task Force will meet semiannually at locations that rotate around the Yellowstone-Teton region.  Where feasible, meetings will be held concurrent with pilot progress meetings to maximize interaction with pilot sponsors. Conference calls will be scheduled at least bimonthly between the task force meetings.

Task Force Duties:
  • Help assess the specific needs of pilots in the areas of permitting, marketing, energy modeling, financing/fundraising, and discounted products and services.
  • Ensure the design and utility of a GY-Framework logo that incorporates the YBP logo and creates an attractive identity for pilot sponsors.
  • Research permitting incentives that have been successful in promoting and sustaining efficient building practices in this region and other locales
  • Research energy and water conservation programs offered by utilities in the region and beyond, and identify those with greatest potential for our pilots
  • Facilitate meetings with financial institutions interested in building relationships with pilots in their service areas
  • Help identify and recruit product and service providers who wish to support pilots in exchange for modest business exposure.  Contribute this information to a “catalogue” of willing providers in the Yellowstone-Teton region.
  • Match interested communications and marketing firms with pilots needing their specific assistance with publications and public relations.
  • Assist with monitoring performance of pilots once certification is achieved and ensure that stories of their experience are well documented and distributed.
To Participate: Please contact Heather Burdette, Sustainability Programs Manager, at (406) 838-2321 or hburdette@yellowstonebusiness.org no later than March 20.
