Rexburg and Madison County are among the fastest growing jurisdictions in Idaho following the decision by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) to transform two-year Ricks College into a four-year institution named BYU-Idaho. Married student housing units are being built at a rapid pace as enrollment has topped 12,000. Home of the renowned International Folk Dance Festival, Rexburg provides housing for Arizona “Sunbirds” each summer and organizes their bus trips into the National Parks and other attractions on public lands. More than 40 Chamber of Commerce members were introduced to the Partnership last October at their monthly forum, and several have joined.
