Red Lodge is the home of Board Chair Peter Christ, who hosted a member reception and presentation last November. An energetic snowstorm allowed for plenty of discussion as 16 guests waited for the winds to calm. Issues in Carbon County include the need to diversify the economy, keep ranching viable, and address proposed improvements to the Beartooth Highway, which connects Red Lodge to Cooke City and Yellowstone National Park. Several businesses have joined from Red Lodge, forming a good nucleus for future discussions and stewardship activities.
