Dave Stauffer has a variety of professional experiences relevant to YBP’s mission and goals. He has worked as a consultant to land developers, specializing in conservation, smart growth, and new urbanism, and his articles on land use have appeared in periodicals including Urban Land and Western Planner. In his home community of Red Lodge, Montana, he cumulatively served 10 years as Planning Board president, city planner, and city council member; he also served as vice president of the Beartooth Front Community Forum, which focuses on the consequences of growth. Dave has written four business books and dozens of articles on business management and communications for periodicals including Harvard Management Update and The Wall Street Journal. He has served as a leadership and disaster relief volunteer for the American Red Cross.
