began with a

offices on three continents that's not just for rock climbers, but one
that stands for the spirit of the sports we live, their values and
goals, past, present and future. Since 1957, our innovative gear
designs have set the standards in numerous areas. This is partly the
result of dedication, desire and diligence on the part of an incredible
team of people. It's also the result of each of us being climbers and
skiers ourselves. We're a company of users—it's who we are.
We're the greatest dreamers about what could be, and the harshest of
critics about what exists and because of this—the creation of
Black Diamond is a process which will never end. The company today is
more committed than ever, thanks to the many people here in the U.S.,

energy and hands-on involvement have created a promising future for all

Imagine
yourself
growing tired and hungry
from a day of skiing through the mountains of southern Montana. As you
glide through the freshly falling

you at

small log
cabin at the edge of a clearing beside a half frozen creek. Fragrant
smoke billows from
the chimney and a warm glow radiates from the windows. You arrive at

and just as you're taking off your skis, the door opens and you're told
you

had a dream. After
her famous uncle died in 1917, she envisioned a great national shrine
and memorial to both William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody and the early
pioneers of the American West. In 1927, she began her quest as curator
of the Buffalo Bill Museum, a modest log building in remote Cody,
Wyoming, mimicking Buffalo Bill's TE Ranch house, on the Southfork of
the Shoshone River. The story of the evolution from a 50'x 70' log
Buffalo Bill Museum to the monumental Buffalo Bill Historical Center -

tale of vision, perseverance, and dedication, Eastern and local
support, creativity and continuity. Today's Center encompasses five

“The theme, purpose, and value of the museum will be to sell

Cleaning efforts over the centuries will be chronicled through

At
JLF &
Associates we focus on innovative design solutions through our
“process”. We are pioneers in the use of reclaimed
materials, the origins of which come from our work with restorations of
classic ranch projects throughout the region. We continue to do
restorations and unique works influenced by those historic values. We
employ old-world craftsmanship in our structures and, in the process,
glorify their place in the landscape. Throughout our work, we
demonstrate an appreciation of history, a love of the West, and an
understanding of how buildings become one with the land.
JLF & Associates takes on about ten residential, recreational
or commercial projects per year across the country. JLF &
Associates works with each client to design a structure that meets
their needs, expresses their individuality and finds a life of its own.
The firm employs twenty-five architects, design associates and support
staff, all of whom work together as a team to oversee the day-to-day
management of projects.
Our work has been featured in many national publications including
Architectural Digest, Big Sky Journal, Cowboys and Indians, Veranda,
and Western Interiors and Design. We have received awards from local,
regional and national chapters of the American Institute of Architects
