Tim
Young is
currently the Executive Director of Friends of Pathways in Jackson,
Wyoming. Tim was employed from 1992-2002 as the Pathways Director for
Teton County and the Town of Jackson, where he managed the development
of the first pathways and initiated programs to enhance national forest
trail systems and worked on alternative transportation planning for
local government. From 2002 until 2006 Tim worked as an Assistant
Regional Director for the National Parks Conservation Association,
working on alternative transportation issues in the National Park
System and locally on the Grand Teton National Park Pathways project.
Tim has served on the Wyoming State Trails Council, and WYDOT
Transportation Enhancement grant committee, and was recently appointed
to the Board of the League of American Bicyclists, the oldest and
largest bicycle advocacy organization in America. Tim is an
accomplished bicycle adventurer, having completed a seven-year
45,000-mile bicycle tour around the world, as well as successful
bicycle expeditions in Europe, Tibet, and the Silk Road in Central
Asia. He lives in Wilson Wyoming. |
