As
energy companies work to meet rising demand they must frequently
overcome opposition, based on concerns both real and
imagined.
Companies in the wind power, nuclear, electrical transmission and other
energy fields have turned to John to lead their facility siting
efforts. He creates success for his clients by drawing
together
business, political, and community support for projects that will help
address local and national energy needs.
John is also a recognized expert on energy policy issues who has
testified before Congress and state legislatures, has written for
Scientific American and other periodicals, and has been interviewed by
numerous local, national and international publications.
John offers a rare combination of technical and business education and
public affairs expertise. He holds a degree in engineering
and an
MBA and has worked in the Administration, on Capitol Hill, and in
support of state government. John served as Deputy Manager of
the
U.S. Department of Energy’s Idaho Operations office from 2003
to
2006 and was named by the Ridenbaugh Press as one of the 100 most
influential Idahoans in 2003. He also served in the Office of
Senator Jeff Bingaman (D-NM), the current chairman of the influential
Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. John lives in
Idaho Falls with his wife and three children.
