Mark
Barron came to Jackson Hole, Wyoming in the seventies and has been a
small business owner/operator for the past 28 years. He has two amazing
children and is husband to RuthAnn Petroff. Mark served 4
years
on the Jackson Planning Commission, eight years on the board of Teton
Literacy Program, 2 years as president, three years board of Jackson
Hole Community Counseling Center. He served on the board of
Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, 2 years as president, and was
appointed by Governor Gerringer to serve on the Wyoming Division of
Tourism and Travel Advisory Board. He was runner up to his
wife,
RuthAnn, for Teton County’s and Wyoming’s Boards of
Realtors Business Person of the Year Award before receiving that honor
in 1999. Barron serves the people of the Town of Jackson in his fourth
term as mayor. He loves to get out on his skis, run trails
with
his bride and try to stay on the top-side of his mountain
bike.
He’s a happy regular at the local orthopedics offices!
